My experience with UZIT (Urban Zen Integrative Therapy) taught me...
"Do less to Be more."  ~Pamela Hunter
Word for 2018 - HARMONY

It is the new year and there is a new PULSE I am feeling. Do you feel it? I am not talking about two fingers on your wrist. It is more about what is your personal current on any given day? Do you jump out of bed or take your time to gently rise? Do you wake with coffee or meditation? Do you work 9-5 or take the night shift? How do you wind down, and what gets you revved up?

There are two super moons in the month of January and so much energy with this arctic chill touching many of us. Feeling the PULSE of our environment and the energies around us is our central point of awareness that helps us find our RHYTHMs. In my travels this last year, each place I visited had its own unique rhythm. People I was with had their own Rhythm. I was intrigued with the pulse I would feel and the rhythms that I would find or that found me. What is your Rhythm like? If you were to put your hands together to create a rhythm of your life, what would it sound like? Would it be fast or slow? Steady or chaotic? Would it skip a beat or be in balance? If I close my eyes and feel the pulse around me, my rhythm begins to present itself bringing me to my word of 2018 – HARMONY! Feeling our pulse to find our rhythms allows us to bring in HARMONY.

Taking this to an affirmation for 2018....

The Gift is in the Giving

I have tunes of the season rolling off my tongue this month, do you?  The one on my mind right now is It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.  Singing it gets my hips swaying in my office chair.  It’s an oldie but a goodie, and I’m going to use the lyrics to remind us what giving is all about.

With the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you ‘Be of good cheer’, we can get caught up in the hustle and bustle very quickly.  What can you do to bring a sense of calm to the chaos and in effect change the atmosphere?  You guessed it!  Read on to get find out how to calm....

Grateful for Cousin Camp Inspiration

My dad once again planted a seed in me…he said, “Wow, between you and Melody, your cousin, I see one of you on Facebook every time your mother shows me that thing.” He made me giggle as he somewhat makes fun of the world today with all of us entertaining each other over the internet. He did not realize the seed he planted and how it would be watered to grow into something so gorgeous! You see, I always listen to my dad even when I do not like to hear what he is saying. Do you do that, too? I mean, sometimes we cannot help but to take in the words of someone who has been such a strong influence on our lives. Are you feeling that, too?
